Hello Geoff. Well, I’m sure if Groggo asnswered you he would go with Apple because he hates “BILL”.
But I can only answer you with what I know and it may not be what is best for you. So in the end you will still have to decide.
In March this year Tigris purchased me a Samsung Lap-top (With Windows 7) with the view of being portable and able to take it anywhere I like. I thought it was a good idea and while it does allow me to be in the loungroom and watch TV at the same time it hardlly ever leaves the kitchen table where Tigris is allways playing “JEWELQUEST” or some other connect the dot games.
To be honest I think the Laptop is a good idea but too expensive to get stolen while being at work or out and about, I thought about taking it to work and watching shows during breaks but in the end I did not think it was worth the effort.
I now have a “SAMSUNG S” that I pay $5 extra on my plan that gives me plenty to play games on line or connect to “ROCKERS & Facebook”. I sent that pool photo to Facebook on Saturday with my Samsung phone.
A work friend has a Samsung Tablet that she swears by, I have noticed the adds on TV at the moment about getting an APP for “FOXTEL ON THE GO” that could entertain you while travelling to and from work. But I do not know if it is only for IPADS.
This Xmas Tigris has purchased a new Tower from Office-works for $380 to replace my one in the computer room that I blow up while working on it with the power on. (lol) I got one with Windows 7 but you can get them with Windows 8 ! I have not connected it yet as I’m waiting to get it as a Xmas present and I can work on it while on holidays.
So I hope there is an answer for you some-where in my post.
geoff it depends on what ya want to spend apple is hassle free mate ive been using since 2005 my sugguestion is a little different to what you have there
if you want to stay with windows get a desktop pc for home and grab either a samsung tablet or ipad for travel and work
i just use my samsung s3 mobile for traveling to and from work though . alot easier to carry on PT as well
laptops are ok but desktop option is better easier upgrades and replace part when the need arises
good afternoon all its a scorcher outside today . Got 1 day off then next 5 days are 2 back shifts then a evening shift then 2 afternoons but after that 5 off including xmas and boxing day

Well, it is Holiday time again, my 1st day A/L will end with the work Xmas party in Fairfield RSL.
But before that happens, I must get a wet/dry Carpet cleaner from Woolies. Then drop the car of for it’s Xmas service and replace a headlight that an old man backed into me and smashed. He was too old to be driving and I have not asked him to pay for the repair. Got a replacement one from Wreckers for $50 and my serviceman will put it in for me.
Then walk home do the carpets in the house, when finished, walk back up the road and get the car then return the cleaner to Woolies.After that, Drive to Campbelltown get the pool water tested for free at “CLARKE RUBBER” go and pick up Tigris at the station. Then I can have a dip in the pool before getting ready to go out to the works Xmas party.
And that is just the 1st day.

5 days off now for this dood got all the food and booze ready the tribe is coming over on sunday so we get them all in one place
